Is my urchin eating kalk paste?

I have a patch of some type of clove polyps (or something similar) growing in one area of my tank. In an effort to keep it at bay, and hopefully get rid of it, I've been putting kalk paste on it. It seems to be working well, but what I've found odd is that every time I use it, the urchin will return to that specific area multiple times over the next few days and clean it to the point that fresh/clean rock and/or epoxy is showing. Moreso than it does anywhere else in the tank.
Is it eating the leftover kalk paste? The polyps that it didn't have any interest in 10 minutes earlier? Something else entirely?

All of the above maybe? Mine always went straight to anything glued and seemed like it was eating the glue
