Is my Yellow Tip Acropora Dead?

Hi I got a WWC Yellow Tip Acropora a week ago and we placed it at the top of the tank with lots of light and flow. The. We realized we should have put it at the bottom and move it to the higher part slowly, so rught now it’s on the sand. Looks white and has algae, but I’m not sure if it’s really dead. Should I take it out if it’s dead?

Looks dead, especially if it's growing algae.
Your picture looks pretty dim. Is that full lights? What's your PAR readings? How old is the tank?
If it was from too much light, you would have seen it bleach out.

Ah no it’s not at full light. My light were off the time I took the pictire. The tank is only 1 1/2 month old. It’s a little bit early for an sps? We also have a monti that we got too, sorry, we impulse bought. Our monti is starting to go bone white too. Is it ok if my shrimp walked over it a couple times? What should I do? Where should I move them? To the top? To the bottom? Rught now the monti is in the middle kind of in an arch so it’s getting a little light maybe like medium light.

yes that’s very early to be trying acros especially. Keep it low it’s going to be shocked from going from an established reef to a very new one... might die not a lot you can do for it other than keep Params in check. Keep it in the tank.. if nothing else it will help buffer the water over time but might not be 100% dead and could come back with some tlc and luck.
