Hi everyone! I have successfully used this product in freshwater to eliminate hydra; https://www.ebay.com/itm/Genchem-No...359626?hash=item3d9591b64a:g:v7sAAOSwbb5dqQbk

My question is, could this same product be used to eliminate hydroids and aiptasia in a QT setup without killing macroalgae? (I am assuming it is probably not safe for corals). I was thinking that, if this kills hydroids/aiptasia without killing macroalgae, I could quarantine macroalgae for several days, using this product to kill the unwanted hitchhikers, and then add the macroalgae to a fry tank for nutrient export. Thanks :)

I suppose you could try it, but if your Macroalgae is valuable to you I would remove it and hold it in a separate tank because the animals in saltwater that can be effected by this is unknown to you.

What I meant was I was thinking of placing the macroalgae in a QT setup of some kind, treat the setup with the no planaria for a few days, then put the macroalgae in the display/fry setup.

I guess, but I have no experience using this product and what it could do to your display tank. Since this is a freshwater product that is not meant for saltwater, I would use a combination of manual removal and aiptasia x (if possible). Plus, I don’t think this will help remove aiptasia. It could possibly work on the hydroids, as I believe they are wormlike creature.
