Hi guys, I am still a novice and not sure of what food I should feed my corals (chalices, zoas, hammer, and other very common corals).

Somewhere on the forum I noticed that many people were praising Oyster Feast and because of the so many types/brands I was hoping for somebody to tip me whether i should buy it or not.

In general, what do you guys feed your corals, and how often?

In your opinion, which one would you chose? (or, which one you are using?)

I use PE mysis/calanus mainly. Mostly because it's what is available to me since my LFS is 2 hours away. I can't tell you what to choose as that is mostly a personal choice so long as you are choosing high quality foods. ;)

Where do you guys buy oyster feast? Anywhere I look online they want to charge me $20-$30 for the shipping! (and the bottle cost $20)

Oyster Feast is probably one of the most popular. I use Oyster Magnifique just because its more convenient (LFS carries it) and AcroPower for the most part. Just keep in mind that feeding is not an integral part of the equation. Feeding will take a good situation to great, but it will do nothing or even hurt if your parameters are out of whack.

Were you able to find any Oyster-Feast. There is a store locator on the Reef Nutrition website: http://reefnutrition.com/store-locator/. Punch in your zip code and stores will pop up in your area. Let me know.

The problem I always encounter when looking for Oyster Feast is my LFS's always have old stock. I usually see it about to expire in a month or 2, or even sitting there already expired. It leads me to believe that ReefNutrition minimum orders are too large for stores to maintain fresh stock. I have one LFS that has the ReefNutrition fridge, but not a single ReefNutrition item in it.

Reef Nutrition doesn't have minimum orders. We do see stores having problems selling our products long before expiration; it can be a little tricky with perishable products. I'm sorry that it has been so hard for you to find us. Maybe you can special order a bottle from a store (like you would do with livestock) and then you could get something fresh. If you pm me I can help you find other stores.
