Is polyfil safe for reef tanks

Our water keeps tannins in it even running seachem carbon. Been reading on polyfil. Is the safe to run in refugium for cleaner/clearer water? Always seem to have small particles floating in the water.

I use it. Works fine but some fibres break free for me and get stuck in pumps

yes it's reef safe and yes it does work . The best result I've had from it is to use it in a power filter to polish the water.

Ya I'll catch fibers in return nozzles every once in awhile. I haven't found a solution to that yet

I'm going to try it on top or bottom of my foam filter
