Hey Team- I have an Eshopps PF1000 HOB overflow & the bulkheads are connected to PVC pipe going into the sump.

Question - Is PVC the only way to go?

If yes - why?
If no - what are viable alternatives & what would I use to connect to the bulkheads?

Story - I’ve recently had a leak & between the tank, the stand & my living room wall it was a tremendous pain ;Rage to get it off to investigate and repair.
I’ve ordered bulkhead replacements & if there is another pipe alternative to PVC, I’d like to change it when I get the new bulkheads.
Thanks so much!!!

Hi

you should be able to use this,

take a quick look and let me know

If you did want to stick with PVC, some additional Unions would make taking apart the plumbing super easy the next time you have to. Flex PVC or tubing noted above are both alternatives, flex PVC glues strait into regular PVC fittings. You could use vinyl tubing as well with slip/barn fittings to attach them to the bulkheads.
