I have been fighting green algae in my sand for about a month now. I went on a business trip for five days during which I cut the lights out for two days and upon returning, a lot of the green algae was gone from sand with most on glass. I dosed last night with typical Red Sea and this morning a lot of the green algae is back. Is there something in the Red Sea dosing that is feeding the algae?
I know my sand is not deep enough. My parameters are ok, I think. I dose all Red Sea- energy, alk, calc, mag, colors, nopox, and phos-e daily. Vibrant weekly. I feed mysis shrimp 2x per day to 8 fish in mixed coral tank. Help!

I'd send in a water sample for an ICP report.

I have issues with algae blooms when I dose Reef Energy to my tank. I even tried slowly building up to a daily dose of 2.5ml and I still have blooms. I know the stuff works and is good for my corals due to increased color and vibrance but it fuels algae really well too.
