Im wondering if i should invest the 100 a peice to buy a carbon reactor and a rowa reactor...? But i wanna know if its really that big of difference? help me out before i make the big donation to the fish store ha

You can do it for less than 100 easily. What brand of reactor are you looking at?

And yes, its worth it IMO. I can turn on my GFO reactor, and my phophates drop to next to nothing. You can get bulk GFO at BulkReefSupply, instead of buying the small tubs of Phosban for $10.

well im glad to her this. My local store wanted 60 for the reactor and the the media and a small maxi jet to run water through it. That was there setups i dont know much about these reactors lol

You can get a BRS reactor for $34, or the TLF for $39 probably. They don't include a pump, but you could run a $10 Maxijet to feed it, or T off from your return pump.

I currently use 2 x Single BRS reactors, one for carbon, one for GFO. Both are fed from the return pump, and both the carbon and GFO came from BRS in bulk.

I run mine 24/7, and switch out the GFO about every 2 months, or if my Phosphates start to go up.
