Sounds like a pest invasion. We were discussing biological filtration.

After 51 years of Reefing, I have experienced red Planera invasions a few times. While unsightly, I have not seen them crash a tank. You must have put something to rid your tank of flatworms and the treatment added to your tank “crashed it”. I have used flat worm exit many times to treat flat worms with no crashed tank. However, over time, one treatment per invasion did not kill all Planaria. Over time, organisms develop immunity to drugs. Responsible doctors understand, immunity development because of indiscriminate use of drugs.

Yep! That's why I do everything natural now. No chemicals at all. I will find a natural way to solve the problem. Much easier now with the world at your finger tips.
