I’ve had a trumpet coral for a few weeks in my tank I can’t not remember if it was like this before? But if you look at the base of the coral it’s all white? And seems like it’s been eaten? Any idea on what’s going on there or am I just being paranoid

not sure ,monitor, expert help will come:)

I think that's normal. They have calcium skeletons that they build as they grow. The part farthest from the heads is no longer really alive and will turn white. Kinda like your fingernails.

So it’s not an issue for it to be showing like that

It looks like a new frag. As the coral grows, the skeleton will get bigger and the tissue will stay towards the head. It looks healthy

i would recommend posting in lps forum, imo ,tissue should be intact:)
