Is something eating my lepto?

I think I'm going to stick with the light I have because I just dropped $600 on it and my LFS is going to help me make sure that it gets working. So eventually I'll have it do what I need it to do, and for now I can move this coral somewhere in the shade. Dimensions are 35.5" x 21" x 20". I also have two Kessil blues, one on either side.
I will admit I probably should have looked more into exactly how your light works before suggesting another brand. I just love AI's customization ability! Their app is sweet. Is there some customization ability for presets available to you with Radion? Like an app? Curious what exact model do you have? Sorry if I missed it stated earlier.

Radion G4 XR30. There is an app/computer program but I can't connect to it right now. My LFS is bringing a "pro" in, in about an hour, so I'm taking the light to the shop to see what can be done.

And honestly without knowing his dimensions a prime may be more than fine. Calling that a downright bad suggestion reflects your ignorance on this matter entirely. We don’t have to have experience with every light brand to be educated on the matter or know which companies are reputable. Stop trying to throw shade on me I did nothing to warrant this. You came here with a bad attitude and should leave with it.

- edit - bro you started a tank last year and have not even been in the hobby more than 10 months. you must know everything about all the light companies with your vast experience huh!
Any 55 gallon has to big dimensions for a single prime. Just keep digging your hole man. You were the one who gave a bad suggestion. You are now trying to justifying it by showing your lack of knowledge on lighting. You then even get yourself worse by showing someone who has been in the hobby for 10 months knows more about lighting then you while trying to count that against me. I was going to update my build thread today anyways so I’ll let that speak for itself. I’m happy with my tank and think it’s awesome so that’s really all that matters. I’m not going to argue about this any further you gave a bad, uniformed decision and got called out.

Not sure why you took my first post so personally and then devolved to trying to discredit me. Just because I (and pretty much every other commenter) disagreed with your ideas doesn’t mean I’m attacking you. More people need to learn that.

Hopefully that solves the issue with your light. If it does brs has a video on par reading from various lights and you can find lots of par readings at different intensities online usually for the big brands. Might be worth a search to see if you can find anyone with similar intensities to your light so you can get a ballpark.

I thought BRS was not a good company? You are literally not worth the effort to continue trying to type with. Again sorry I said AI Prime instead of AI. Mr bu++hurt Bert.

I never said that? I’m also not upset but you clearly are and I think I’m finally going to have to use the ignore function on here finally.

Yeah, I don't believe what brs says. They are in it to make money and say what people want to here.
Out of all the light makers, it's a far stretch to say most people use them.
OP has a good light and just needs to work out the bug.
They didn't say that people use them the most out of all light makers, they said out of the Leds for sale on BRS specifically they sell the best. I could see that. Affordable, very good reviews, great for beginners

I just want to say that the title in this thread… if laid into any other media site on the planet, would be a real hoot…

Update on the light: in the 5 times I contacted EcoTech, they didn't think to tell me I was using an outdated app to try and connect the lights

Working now, will adjust and update on the coral
Glad to hear it. Hopefully the coral makes a recovery.

Switched to the AB light preset, I think these are feeding tentacles? I just fed mysis and reef roids.

Ummm... I don't know how else to describe this other than... its holes are open?? Is this normal

I don’t see anything wrong with the coral in the first place so you should be just fine. I would not change a single thing on the tank. Leave the front of it’s been working ok and use whatever light makes you happy. Personally I need a light I can use without having to worry about programming issues or the like.
I think you are seeing mesenterial filaments in the first picture. The open mouths are probably the coral just expelling waste and isn’t an issue. It will get lots of little “sweeper” tentacles it can catch food with at night and this is probably what it’s expelling. Sometimes you will even find corals expelling green slime out of the polyps.
I have kept this coral in very high light and flow and it grew and colored really well. It might take some acclimating for some people but it will adapt to most any decent tank conditions.

Curious to know what intensity you are for the radion? its A strong light and could bleach some of the corals. Any pics of the tank?

I was using the first preset that came on when I pressed the button before I got the app working. Now that I'm connected to the app, I'm using the AB program preset

Thanks for the advice, it didn't look like bleaching to me either. I have the lights programmed the way I want to now so I'm not going to change anything, and I'm starting to see a bit of growth as well
