Is something on my mushroom?

I noticed that my mushroom hasn't been fully open this afternoon and noticed white specks on the mushroom that I don't remember being there before.

since posting, the white specks have gone away and looks like it is spreading out once again.

They do that when not happy or little peed off perfectly normal ime

Those white bumps were messentrial filaments that corals use for defense. Or to kill each other..

must be fighting off the hermit crabs that don't care about anything.

Will be fine nothing to worry about unless it's right next to something else as reef lover said might be using as a defence just watch the area around it

there is no other corals next to it, other than a sponge, but it's on the other side of the rock. I wanted the mushroom to have its own rock to spread out on.
