Is that normal?

Just dosed some red sea alk riser. And they came down like snowflakes in my tank. Is that normal? Dosed them in my sump? Is that supposed to happen?

Yes, very normal (at least for the Red Sea stuff). I'm slowly using up an old bottle of Red Sea alkalinity and the fish are truly puzzled by the "snow globe" effect.

Nope - I leave my skimmer and reactors going. It should dissipate in a few minutes.

It is usually a problem of dosing it too fast/not enough flow where it is dosed and its causing it to precipitate. You can also mitigate it by diluting it in rodi water before you add it to the tank
