Is the Battle with Dino's.....over??

So long story short my tank is 5 months old and in early April I was beginning to have a GHA outbreak. I foolishly added chemi-pure in an attempt to alleviate the situation. This in turn stripped my tank of Nitrates and Phos and of course Dino's arrived.

I started to dose Dino-X and after several days decided to do a 3 day black out with a cheap UV Sterilizer. After 3-4 days, with dosing and the UV everything appears clean. This was done on Friday of last week and it is now Tuesday.

My question is when should I remove the UV Sterilizer and If/when this happens will they come back immediately?
Does anyone have any experience coming out of a Dino outbreak and the best approach?

During Dino Outbreak - Nitrates and Phos @ 0 (using typical titration methods.)
Post Blackout - Nitrates 7.3 and Phos .07 (Using newly bought Hannah checkers.)

Continue uv unit running at 12 hours during the night and at night, add 1ml of 3% hydrogen peroxide per 10 gallons for a week
Slowly build up white intensity over a few days

Ive already turned the lights on back to their normal cadence (8:30am-7:30pm with an hour ramp up.) They've been on since Friday.

I agree with continual use of UV at night. However with the hydrogen peroxide treatment - there doesn't seam to be any Dinos remaining since Dino-X.

Are you recommending the Hydrogen peroxide as a preventative measure to Dino relapse?

It’s beneficial in getting this stuff to lift- mainly water based

My guess is they will come back, sounds as if you have hit the tank hard, which would have killed a lot of the bacteria that would have helped keep the dinos away.

if possible I would run the uv as long as you can, you now need to build up a positive bacteria population in combination with removing any dinos that appear before they can get ahold again.

Doesn't the uv harm the bacteria as well?
