The MP10 is a good pump, but it's far from the best, no particular powerhead can be considered the best but they all have their perks and such. I like the idea of the MP10 not having a chord in the tank but you have zero directional control with them besides how they are positioned on the side of the tank.
If you are worried about paying too much, look into alternatives such as the offerings from Hydor, Tunze, and what I personally use, Jebao (just be aware Jebao is a Chinese knockoff product with little to no chance of having any warranty claims sorted out without having to pull your hair out). I had a Hydor Koralia that I originally bought for freshwater use 4 or 5 years ago that I only recently replaced with a Jebao PP-4 because the fish guard on the Hydor broke and a I wanted something that pulses. I fixed the Hydor's fish guard with some super glue and still use it to mix saltwater. It's a tough little pump for sure.
