Is the rainbow chalice fever decreasing?

Lately I have been looking several rainbow chalice frags for sale. Well known rainbows, and they have become hard to sell even with price dropping. What are your thoughts about this?

Ive seen a few sell on here already and Ive only been on here a few weeks.. CB sells A Lot of them!! For big bucks too. Even if I had 10... Id still grab another if the price was right. Im addicted to Rainbow Chalices!!

Yes. But look. CoryC has been trying to sell 3 eyes of CB rainbow crush for 600 shipped. Chunky frag, unsuccesfully. A few months ago it would be sold in a heartbeat.I saw rainbow crush sold for 750 an eye.

honestly i'm selling it way to cheap, it's all the live sales man.kills p2p hobbyist sales. if i was selling this in late fall i'd get what i'm asking and then some.

Prices on corals go down this time of year. All of the coral dealers advertise that in their adds. They won't be so cheap in a few months.

I think it's also that people are noticing that there are a decent amount of rainbow chalice morphs coming in again so it's a supply and demand thing again. I have trouble differentiating between them all!

I think it's just all timing right now. I'm sure it'll pick back up soon once school starts back up. Didn't another rainbow crush mini colony just sell for like $2k? Soo I don't think it's really decreasing. Plus there's soo many different rainbow chalices right now it's hard to decide which one I'd the best.

I have 3 cb rainbows, and a JF rainbow, and an SC dynamite, I like my CB ones the best. if i dont sell it soon i'm pulling it off the market.

It's all the colonies that have been sold recently too...colonies are almost always a better value and people who miss out on getting the colony aren't gonna want to suddenly get less for more

yeah probably the wrong time. i thought the crazy fox would have more interest. seemed to be much more desirable and imo nicer than the my miami

Summers always slow when it comes to coral sales especially the high end stuff. Price should rise again over the next few months

The rainbow fever is still alive and well. At least here.. selling them like hot cakes here and i only cut 2 frags from each colony every 3 weeks or so and the waiting list runs till almost june of next year.

coloration... I prefer to buy rainbow chalices with more of the colors I like, reds, oranges, yellows, purples, not blues, greens. If the chalice had more bright colors, it will sell faster and for more. Because in the long run, the more blue or green it has now, well, the more blue and green it will have later.
