I have being following ttm way from reef central forum instructions, but I think it's like 7-8 years old. Is there a new study for ttm to treat ick? That way is a ttm 12-14 days with minimum 4 transfers.

TTM can be much harder on the fish than other quarantine methods. I'd recommend the procedure posted by Jay Hemdal in the disease forum stickies.

I'm kind of surprised to see that ttm is not common on this forum

Its just a lot of work, doesn't cover velvet, and is stressful for the fish, arguably making them more compromised to illness

TTM is still alive and kicking.
"Hybrid TTM" with a couple of 30 min H2O2 baths during the process looks promising (for ich/velvet/brook) but I haven't tried it yet,,, planning to for next fish purchase if I don't just buy pre-quarantined instead:
