I want to start breeding clowns a snowflake and black .... Is there even a small profit on this

I'm going to try my hand at breeding later this year as well. I've heard of people just trading them in to a LFS for cheap, but rarely have i heard of someone profiting.

What's your setup going to be?

I have 2 lfs wanting to buy some black ice clowns i have to paired black ice so when they breed i might as well sell the rest

With all the money you have to put into and time nope

I'm definitely on the negative side. It takes a while before they are large enough to sell. I'm hoping to turn it around though. My clownfish are worth a small fortune. If only I could get retail value for them. I should try ebay. Good luck!

I have to agree with with Blue Lip and say no. If your after a profit this isn't the hobby. Between the time and cost to raise you better love doing it or it will be short lived. The money I have invested in my breeders and systems is staggering

The only way to sell your fish and make back some of the cost is direct to the consumer and not the store. The store will expect a discount so they can make a margin to keep the doors open. Wish you well on your adventure.
