Is there a reasonably-priced dosing pump out there?

I have a 40g that will eventually be an LPS /softie tank. I'm looking for a dosing pump setup, preferably with 3-4 pumps, that can accurately dose smaller amounts (10ml and less). I'll be dosing alk, ca, mg, and nopox. Can anyone recommend a reasonable brand? Apex compatible would be nice but not absolutely necessary as I'll eventually upgrade and move this one to another tank. Thanks in advance for your help!

If you have a controller I'd feel comfortable recommending the Jebao DP4. I've heard the horror stories about them going haywire on their own but have the controller turn it off if the pH rises above a certain # (suggesting the ALK pump has failed in the on position) or the water level rises too much (either of the other pumps being stuck in the on position) and you should be good to go.

EDIT: I should also note that the above is what I do, and so far its been working w/o issue for a few months.

Thanks. I was thinking about that one but read the reviews about the problems you mentioned. Have you used one? Is it decent with smaller doses?

Are the BRS ones ok?

Yeah I just went back and edited my original post to say thats what I'm doing. So far I havent had any issues with it. Word on the street is they're not the most precise out there (hey its $50) but I'm using it in increments of 2ml and its been doing great.

That’s great! Thanks!

If you have an Apex, the BRS 1.1 ml dosers are very accurate and precise since they run so slowly. Because they operate at very low current, be sure to run them on the relay outlets, not the triac outlets of the EB8. Here is a great dosing pump program generator (also has pH cutoff) that I use to program my BRS dosers.

BRS dosing pumps are great, reliable and inexpensive.
