Is there a season for Peppermint Shrimp...?

I can't seem to find anyone with Peppermint Shrimp in stock.
I have a few Aiptasia, and I can't seem to kill them off with the superglue/perioxide/lemon juice tricks. I started with 1, and I can see about 10 at least in my tank.

I was able to get the last one from my LFS, but I haven't seen it in a week since I acclimated it.

Is there a "season" for them when you can get them, or is the issue just a supply/collection issue right now?

These peppermint shrimp are captive-bred, completely reef-safe, and will consume nuisance Aiptasia anemones.

Personally I have found that the ones that eat aptasia also will eat zoas and palys and even some will eat zoas and palys but not aptasia

Also not all will eat either only some and its really hard to tell the difrence without it happening

Berghia nudibranchs eat aptasia iv never had 1 but check them out

In the wild, they mate in the spring and summertime, but I don’t know if that carries over to captivity. They mate right after they molt, though, so there’s timing involved, and then a two month period for larval development (and then time to gain size enough to sell retail). ORA had a bunch a couple of weeks ago, but are out again. Set up a stock alert on LiveAquaria so you can jump on it when ORA release another batch.

I've read about berghia nudibranch for aiptasia control.
2 questions...
How many should I get for a 125 gal display tank?
What happens if I can't trap them after the aiptasia are gone?

They will die and id start with 1 if you only have 10 or so aptasia they will eat them pretty quick

Id pass it on to someone that needs it after you and they are not hard to catch

I’d do a few more than that, but make sure you don’t have anything in your tank that will eat them, like a wrasse.

I only say start with 1 cause I thought I read you only have about 10 and they are verosias eaters 1 will eat 10 in no time flat a friend used to have them in an aptasia tank to rent out I never had to use them thank god
