Is there any hope for my 3 headed torch?

Pretty sure he’s a goner. He’s mostly all skeleton and tissue falling off. I’ll post a pic of before and after. He’s been in our tank for months and has been very happy. A week or so ago I noticed several of my coral not looking well. Hubby did a look around in the back and noticed while doing plumbing about 3 weeks ago he never put the GFO back online. Phosphates were measuring .25. Got GFO back on and I’ve been babying the torch but everyday he looks worse and worse. Is there any hope or should I remove him? There is a little torch as well and he’s okay. My Elegance has shrunk considerably and lost its color but it at least is still opening each day if even a little.

I figured as much. I wish hubby wasn’t so absent minded.. I do almost everything but the media side of things. I do all the testing but not phosphates, iodine or calcium. Apparently he doesn’t either

I’ve seen no signs of that anywhere in the tank thankfully but better safe than sorry

I know me too....But I have a dead Scoly and some cloves that died as well and my Elegance is 60% of what it used to be. Oh and a plate coral died as well. So all was thriving in our tank for months. The phosphate rise is the only issue we had. We even run a large U.V. 24/7 to keep water pristine.

Did you have any Alk swings?

Nope, I check it about every other day

I’m just very skeptical that 0.2ppm would kill your torch. Might cause some issues with SPS but my torches like higher phosphate.
