My Tunze controller has a night mode button. It apparently reduces flow when the lights go out.

Are there any reason to do this? I currently have my flow set at 50x/hr.

The natural reef currents don't slow at night

I can give yournfiah a break at nigh wirh calmer flow but the ocean does not have a night mode to reduce flow and the fish and corals do just fine. Most fish find a place to hide in the reef for the night in shelter. My PP-8s have night mode and I am currently not using it and dont plan to.

I slowed down mine... just because i dont really have much hiding place. Only abt 40lbs of rock in a 55g and 2 gyre 230s
