Is there flow under a powerhead?

I figured that the point of least flow would be under the powerhead, but after feeding just now it made me think, with the current and water getting sucked into it do you think there's actually quite a lot of flow under the powerhead?

Under a gyre, yes. Under a regular powerhead, not as much - but probably still quite a bit.
