Is there something on this snail?

New cleanup crew of snails...this one looks like sea shells are mounted on his shell.
Any ideas? Sorry for resolution.

Bivalve is an extremely broad classification by the way. Just a starting point. Looks similar to one I have on the side of an Acan.

Yours does look more like a shell. Do you see it open up ever?

I just put it in tonight. I will pay attention. I will be watching out for dead snails anyway.
