So I am using my old tank water to cycle my new set up and currently changing 5g out of my 120 daily and 25g weekly to fill the 73g tank.

I was wondering if 10g daily would be too much. (Want to start cycling soon before the lock down is clear)

Not if all the parameters match

Well I guess I will stick with 5g daily. I know my alk should be matching at around 8.5, my phosphate is high at around .20 and cal/mag don’t know.

that water from your other tank is gonna be liquid gold at this point, bring a rock over n stick it in the filter too by ur bio media. but with changing the water id use a smaller amt like the 5 gallons bc that also means your taking out more water from that tank to add the old water back. Ig thats just where you make the call at when u no longer need it compared to fresh saltw. also water better be not be from ur sandbed lol :PP just my opinion though.

Yup. I don’t stir anything and just take out 5g and transfer it to my new set up. Then replenished it with freshly made water.
