Is this 15 gallon stocking list ok

i’d advise against firefish AND cardinals as both do the same thing (one just swims more than the other)

Ok so fire fish, gramma and 2 clowns lol this is hard I just want movement really tired of looking at a tank with just corals and a hermit crab and turbo snail

and RG just hides all day. I've had my RG for 2 years and I'm lucky if I see him once a week.

If you want peaceful fish, forget about the clownfish.

So my 15 gallon innovative marine is about cycled and I’m heading to my LFS In Pittsburgh to get fish this weekend. My plans are 2 nano clowns, one clown goby and 2 cardinals is this fine or over kill? The nano clowns are so small they shouldn’t bother the other fish I think. Any feedback would be helpful.

Since you are looking at a clown goby, you may want to look at some of the other gobies available. I have two of the yellow clown gobies and they are active & well behaved. I’m thinking of adding a court jester goby myself.

for me personally, I would skip the clownfish if you aren’t too attached to having them. They can be a bit of a pain.

I have had a single clown in a 14 gallon IM. It works for a minute. In six months you will have more dead fish than happy fosh. Clowns are evil.

In a tank that small, a Pink streak or six line.

Hammer too can be challenging with a new tank as they have flow and calcium requirements. Good beginner corals are : Candy cane coral, toadstool leather, mushrooms, xenia, trumpet, zoa and stylopora which are forgiving

I really want them but I’m worried about space and the other fish houses with them I really don’t want a tank with just two fish really but I might exchange em for a canary Blenny

I was told hammer was good for beginners and a bunch of YouTubers stand by it too I have one no problems so far

My clown in a 14 gallon IM started life in a 40 breeder. She owned it. She was with a hawkfish, another clown, McCoskers, yellow goby, 3 pjam cardinals, and a coral beauty.

She lived in the sump for a few months because she beat everything mercilessly.

Clowns are not good community fish until you get to very large, 75g and up tanks.

6 line or yellow coris is what I have and they both hunt all day for pests

I second a tail spot goby, if I wasn’t maxed out I would definitely have one. Owner of my LFS caught me looking at one and tried to talk me into it this week, but I swore to myself after I added my 6th and last fish that I was done. They have great personalities. Hm, maybe an upgrade is in my future!
