Hi there, I am new to the hobby and not sure what this tiny thing with what looks like to be tentacles. I posted this pic in my FB group of Red Reef owners and got 2 replies that it could be Aipasia, but would hate to remove it if it is an actual LTA baby. How can I tell?

The picture is not very clear but I'd still say 99% that is aiptasia. If it was a baby LTA you would have to have at least 2 and would have likely witnessed them spawning prior to seeing a baby pop up.

I agree with the above comments on Aiptasia.

Thank you! How do I remove it?? just dig it out?

Since it’s on the sandbed, try to dig it out. It’s okay if you take some of the surrounding sand out too as long as you get the whole thing out intact. If it breaks apart, the pieces will become new anemones.

Kill it with fire.
