No. There are both Maxima and Squamosa there. Even two or three of the ones circled by reef lover maybe Maxima. Need to examine it closer to determine for sure. I think Squamosa and Maxima range over lab there and possible that there are minor interbreed of the two species, so the line may be slightly blurry there in term of the two species. This is speculation on my part. We do know that there are squamosa/maxima hybrid raised by clam farmers. It is not unreasonable to assume that this also happen in the wild sometime and rarely there may be a fertile clam as a result.Aren't these all squamosas?

Assuming you mean the saw tooth on the edge of the afferent openings of the clams, all the clams have these projections, other than T. gigas which have smooth border on the afferent opening.Even with the frills around the mouths?? That's generally indicative of squammys. Could def be hybrids though...
