It looks like you have some vesicles tumoring up. I have had 1 that randomly did that for about 6 months then they kinda went away the the shroom melted. Early days for me. That or it has worms. Looks cool

Ahhh OK that's a totally different shroom in question.
Definitely looks like its bouncing and I'm sure it has a name just can't think of it off the top of my head.
It’s a rhodactics. I don’t think these bounce but this growth definitely bounces in the flow. The tissue is the same texture as the main shroom however. I like it, was cheap, a win/win gamble

Is it actually? I don’t think the local hobbyist even saw the knob. The person above me has a more convincing bounce imo. Regardless, it’s a growth, it bounces, it’s orange, was $10. All is well.

Is this a hairy?
It's a st tomas. That all has been agreed upon.
Magic carpet/fire is for sure a hairy and many others in same species are considered a bounce.

I have asked the same questions. What actually makes a bounce a bounce?
Not much info out there and at the same time not many willing to debate the topic.

I think we need to revisit this again. Someone has to have a scientific explanation for what makes a bounce... a bounce. Going on the hunt man my interest is piqued! Keep you posted

I think it’s subjective. Over the last year I’ve seen many “new” types of bounces.

I found this interesting thread regarding the subject. They say a bounce is just a tumorous growth and can happen to any shroom. Not sure if there is any merit to that.
