Is this a case of Clownfish Melonization?

I did some research but I'm not a Doctor and Web MD isn't always right. Can I get a second opinion please?

This showed up on my smaller clownfish in what seems like overnight. Is this just a bad case of Hyper Melonization (coral stinging?) It's eating and swimming strong.

Yes, that's Hyper-Melanization. Turbellarians (black ich) would be much smaller than that.

My understanding is that the clown is attempting to host a coral (Could be my frogspawn or Toadstool) and is getting stung by the coral.

Must be an aggressive frogspawn then, mine hosts a frogspawn and only get stung maybe once a week and it goes away pretty quickly. Yours looks like it cuddles with the sweeper tentacles of something much more ferocious haha

It usually works itself out. Fortunately, clownfish have an incredibly thick mucous coat which mostly protects them from the sting. It just looks bad...
