Is this a feather duster worm?

The title says it all.

I noticed this fella on the base of my wall hammer. Decided to try squirting it to see its reaction, but after i removed the screen to gain access, it was gone, i suspect retracted.

Can you provide a pic with white light? You mentioned calcium shell which could be a Vermetid snail and if so should be removed/discarded

Also there’s coco worms or some species like a feather duster except they use calcium or whatever to build their shell, those shells are typically white and then feather dusters are brown since they use mucus, sand, and organic material to build their tubes
