Is this a fire worm?

Hey yall!

We got this rock about a year ago (a bubble tip we were purchasing was stuck on it) this thing has brought so many hitchhikers with it (mostly good), but today I look and see this giant thing in there that I have never seen in the tank! Is it a fire worm? How can I get it out?

It looks like one to me. I think most people have had success with traps. I am not an expert in these worms or removing them. I'm sure members who have dealt with these guys will have some tips. I will be following along to see what happens. Good luck!

I would say regular bristle worm but get another opinion. I don’t see a lot of red even though those bristles look nasty!

I'm almost 100% sure that is not a bearded fireworm (hermodice carunculata), but a picture of its head is needed for an absolute ID.

The fire worms I had looked exactly like that, but were a bit more pink. It doesn't look like a regular bristle worm to me.
