So I have a CVUE 40 gallon tank that has been up and running for a few months. I noticed today on my glass this little thing. I am thinking it is a flat worm but wanted other people’s opinions who have more experience identifying them. I attached two pictures and hopefully the video uploaded. Thanks

Acoel flatworm normally found in areas of the aquarium with low water flow and can be seen on surfaces.
This flatworm does not attach itself to the coral and is easily removed by using a small (1/4" or 3/8" airline tube) siphon. Simply just start a siphon, and then gently vacuum the flatworms from the surfaces.
If quite a few, you may add a wrasse such as yellow coris, lunare, 6 line or melanurus which will eat them.
Also look daily for next 14 days for presence of eggs. They must be scraped off outside of tank if you find any.

Thank you. I actually bought a six line wrasse that I am picking up from LFS Tommorow. So perfect timing. The eggs are they little white specs on the glass.

They usually lay eggs on or under a coral

Thanks. I will do a coral dip on my corals their is only 3 corals in my tank currently
Coral dip will not kill eggs. They Must be scraped off physically

Videos don’t upload (work) on this site and Live Photos don’t work, either. But all of the longer strands resembling toe nail clippings are moving and are examples of flatworms. They don’t like the dip!
