So i just got this big green goniopora like 2 or so weeks ago. And below it i had my cyphastrea rock on the sand bed.

I moved the cyphastrea to the other side of the tank and today i noticed a long tentacle sticking out.

Is this a goniopora baby ? If so thats really cool.

At first i thought it was aptasia when i saw it on the corner of my eye but i know it isnt.

Sure looks like it. Maybe one of them got cut or something and found it's way over to that rock.

It definitely appears to be a baby! Looks just like a green goni polyp. I’ve never had this happen to me but there are always surprises in the reef. I’ve had this happen with clove, where I moved the colony and a couple days later I find a single polyp left where the original colony was.
