this worm? comes out of the rock very infrequently and only for a few moments, and then retracts back into the rock. it's very thin, light blue, is this something I need to remove? It doesn't ever completely come out of the rock that I have seen. Thank you in advance for any clarification anyone can provide!

Looks like a Bristle worm. If so, you decide if you want them or not. I personally don't mind them but I have several bristle worm predators to keep their numbers in check.

They're good CUC but can be a skin irritation and can irritate corals if the population gets too big.

Thanks for the quick response! I guess I'll let it go for now. It doesn't seem to be problematic at this point. How big will it get?

Depends on the breed I think. Some can get quite large. The ones in my tank are usually under a couple of inches.

What kind of predators??? Ive got two arrow crabs in one tank. Looking for something in my other as its a predator tank with a marine betta and lion! Any that you know of that would work for that tank? Those are getting out of control

I've got Springeri Damsels and a couple of Halichoeres Wrasses.

Cool! Will look into getting one! My coral banded shrimp kills arrow crabs
