Is this a good RO system?

What size tank do you have and how much RODI water do you need? I don’t like systems that have proprietary filters, my recommendation is to look for something that uses regular size filters.

I have that system. My tap water is terrible, like 400+ TDS. Post RO, I'm at ~20 TDS and so far I've made ~300 gallons out of it, having refilled the DI resin twice. It's very slow, so if you do big water changes, it probably isn't for you, but I like it. It also uses standard cartridge sizes for RO and DI stages, so if you dont like the included cartridges, it's easy to swap them out. The carbon and sediment filters are 1/8" NPT threaded, so if you want to upgrade those later, you'd need to buy new housings, but the replacements are cheap so I see no reason to.
I've considered getting a second RO membrane and running it in parallel to speed up water creation, but it's not necessary.

Although I feel brs is still a good standard rodi units have become more assessible and cheaper. But if you are making a large amount id go with a brs 5 stage unit as a minimum otherwise you'd be waiting for a long time for water

Not the most favorable. I prefer canister type where you can view the filters . Booster pump also an advantage to RO systems.

Spectrapure. Everything else competes for second place. You can get good refurbished units on their site too. Tech support is top notch.

Ok thanks! I have a 36 gallon and really only want 50 gallons of fresh and salt water
