I just recently got a torch coral and was wondering if this was a good spot for it? Sorry about the photos but you can see it on the top rock with plenty of flow? Maybe to much im not sure and I’m wondering if that’s to much light for it

Looks like a new tank perhaps and maybe the first coral? It looks like the power head is aimed right at the torch so maybe it's a little intense. When you read the torches need flow it means constant and steady flow, not the intense flow making them angry.

What I usually do with a new coral like this is to start them in the sand. The flow should be strong enough across the sand bed to gently sweep the torch to one side and keep it happy. This is also a lower light intensity place so it doesn't upset the zooxanthellae. Ultimately when you move a coral to a new tank there's some shock involved. The lower intensity light will keep the bacteria from dying off. The torch should extend polyps and at that time you can consider moving up on the rock work.
