I have been looking at used tanks. I am trying to decide between an AIO and just a glass tank. I found this one for $80. It doesn't come with anything but a tank, lid and stand. Is it a good deal or should I keep looking for an AIO?

Depends..

What are you looking to do with said tank?

Used Tanks are ok...however, you have to consider how structurally sound they might or might not be since it is used. I would say keep looking and as mentioned, depending on your END Goal...All IN ONEs are NOOOCE!... I have the IM Fusion 20, a good space saver...

Go with aio. You will get a filter chamber eliminate need for external filter units and ease of maintenance

Honestly at this point all I know is salt water. I like inverts but my family likes fish. I will need things that are easy to see as my grandson is vision impaired (legally blind) I think corals are off the table at least for now.

I have a couple freshwater AIOs and they are nice!

How big is the tank in question, what kind of shape is it in? 80 may be a deal or may not be.

If this is your first tank though I would say skip it and go for a well built AIO.

Dude, how did you do the lighting on your dosing containers? Looks sick.

I have some aio freshwater tanks and I do like them. I just wasn't sure how they do for saltwater.

I have 2 AIOs currently and another on its way from @Tenecor Aquariums

One is salt, the other fresh. The one on its way will be some version of salt!

I’d go for the AIO instead. Having owned a bow front, I wouldn’t do it again because the distortion and horrible photo taking ability. The actual tank is basically the hardest thing to change so it’s good to get the one you want.

I actually did the exact same thing as him. Glass Voss bottles with the push connector in the top. They work great. Have four of them right now. I just removed the stickers.

At one point I had some of those. Never really had a use for them back then. Now I could use a few!

Looks rather deep and not very wide.
