I noticed this whiteness on my Mandrin a few days ago and I finally got a good picture. What is this?

Did you notice this first thing in the morning or while the lights were off? It might have just been him secreting his mucous coat for protection at night.

I thought the pictures posts. Whoops. Is that what the mucus looks like? It is about 4 hours or so after the light came on.

I always thought that Mandrin were unable to get infections. But good read! I will see if I can catch him possibly and see if I can get it to go away.

Mandarins are more disease resistant, but it is not impossible for them to get parasites, worms, infections, etc.
