I see Cyanobacteria surrounding the clam? How long have you had the clam and what lighting, is the clam just closing when you try to take an image of it?

Hiw long have yiu had it? Maximas at this stage should really sit on a hard surface like a tile or rock. The sand will iritate its foot causes it to stress even more.
