Is my Duncan about to grow a new head?

I've searched other photos and to me it looks like one?

Bottom left on the picture.

It looks a bit blurry in the pic and almost looks like a pineapple sponge on the side. Could you post a 2nd picture?
 
I'll be honest I'd never heard of a pineapple sponge! This looks to be the same colour and texture as the Duncan rather than something separate growing...

Few months? Once they start they grow fast. I just noticed mine last week. Now it looks like I have total of 4 new heads. Congrats.

Wow they're both beautiful but also a little creepy to look at :D can only see one on mine so far but who knows there may be more lurking!
 
I don't know anything about Duncan corals but if I had to guess what the beginning of a new head looked like, it would be that. :p
Ha! I thought the same thing when I saw it! I've only had it for 2 weeks! Just saw a little lump and thought knowing my luck it's probably the marine version of covid...... :rolleyes:
