It looks normal to me. I have had mine about 2 months now. For the first month he was very skittish and I had to feed him away from everyone else because he didnt like the frenzy at feed time. Now he is one of the boys and doesnt care. I also just go him to start eating/picking at seaweed in the last week. I think they just need some time to get comfortable IME.

Yes he has his normal moments but mostly just likes to eat, hide and repeat...
