My corals have been in quarantine for about a month. Today I saw a bunch of these on a handful of corals. I dipped and most fell off. I picked any others off. Are they a type of nudibranch? Thank you!

Ugh! Will coralrx kill it? At least everything is in quarantine...also will it only eat montipora?

A coralrx dip *should* kill the adults (but they are hardy, you have to whack them with it properly). What you have to worry about is the eggs, which will survive.

they only eat montipora as far as I know, but most different types (Capricorn is, spongodes, digitata etc) are fair game

The important thing at this point is to not put anything from QT into the display. I’m pretty sure I got mine into my display on some zoas that were next to a monti cap that had them.
Trust me - you don’t want these little monsters

Thanks...I got rid of the 2 montis I had in quarantine wasn't worth it...one was almost dead now it makes sense why and the other just wasn't worth it, it was covered. Hopefully this stares them out too.

Bayer dip. I had a nudi on a zoa frag once. It was super dead after a good old bayer dip. That stuff kills EVERYTHING that has anything close to a central nervous system. Just rinse a bunch of times before you put it in with any inverts after a bayer dip, but I've never had any issues.

Does this kill eggs as well?

Not actually sure about that. Sorry

If you do decide to do a bayer dip, you'll find lots of recipes. I've been using 10ml bayer/cup of water, and it kills all. Also take note that bayer is now "bio-advanced" complete insect killer. You can find it in Lowe's for super cheap compared to specific coral dips. Good stuff.

Look daily the next 14 days for ANY presence of eggs which are tiny. If you find any- scrape them off outside of tank. Dip will not work on eggs !
