Is this a pest?

I think this is a bristle worm but I heard some of those are pests? I just saw this and was wondering if I should remove or leave it. Also how would I remove it? It disappeared into the rock the second I took the picture

No. Just reduce your feeding to control the population.

There's nothing wrong with removing them if you want, but again, they are helpful critters.

Not likely. They'll maintain a healthy population level.

Mine are humongous but I keep them.. . To feed my child. Also they are amazing clean up crew.
