I got back from a vacation and I noticed this growing on my zoa frag that j bought before going. I’m pretty sure it’s bubble algae but it’s not bubbly like others I’ve seen it’s just a straight green line. Anybody know what it is or how to get rid of it?

I'd pull the plug out of the water and scrub it with a tooth brush. Or better yet remove the palys from the plug and toss the plug

Is there and easy way to remove the palys from the plug?

I use a knife and start digging it into the plug under the palys until they pop off. I don't actually touch the coral with the knife. If they are just superglued then the glue and coral should pop off easily

Be very careful and make sure you wash your hands right after you handle them. Better yet wear nitrile gloves, and don't have them close to your face when removing from the plug. Might be overkill, but best not to mess with the toxin from palys or zoas.

A 2 min dip in a 50/50 peroxide/saltwater works with palys as well. There is risk, but it kills algae. The palys will bubble like crazy and be ticked off for a couple days.
