...and would you allow it to live in your reef?

Possibly, and absolutely not. In hindsight, I would not allow anything with claws into my reef tank, nevermind an unknown species.

IMOPE, most crabs scavenged and picked at algae as juveniles, but as they matured, they required a lot more meaty foods and began attacking sessile inverts, sleeping fish, and other vulnerable tankmates.

That's probably good practice. I have him in the sump currently.

I'd still like to see if someone can positively identify the species. He definitely has flattened claw tips for grazing.

All I know is that if my bait fish that I have on my fishing line while fishing touches the bottom those crabs grab on and start eating the bait fish even if the fish is live

I wouldnt keep it in my reef. Suggest getting some cajun seasoning, potatoes, corn, and some gulf shrimp in a pot.. [emoji3] or sump him! Behold and all tremble in fear for the new sump lord!
