Is this a snail?

Found this in the tank today.. looked like a snail but not very sure.. by the time i wanted to catch it... it is gone. It is about 3mm and the shell looked almost like barnacles.

Not sure but, looked like it does.

I noticed this creature again today... it is about 3mm in diameter and has all the features of a snail like mouth, feeler, shell, etc. except the rock shaped shell and small green pipe like thing at the back.
