I have a clump of zoa which I put in my tank a couple of weeks ago. There was another coral on it, so I fragged it off onto it's own. While I was doing so, I noticed the below white "squishy" thing on the same clump - it looks a bit like cauliflower. Any ideas?

Did it have any filter feeder arms on it? Anything like that?

Hmmmm, I guess you can do what most people normally do. If you are feeling it, I recommend the watch and wait approach.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. :-)

With the little hairs I am inclined towards tunicate, does it have "mouths" that open?

Not that I've seen. Some of the "hairs" might be that I'm going through my first bloom, so there's algae everywhere. However yeah, there's definitely SOMEthing going on with hairs.
