Is this a sponge?

Pretty sure it is a sponge but having trouble getting rid of it. I want it gone because it looks ugly and was choking out some zoas. I have picked as much off by hand, used peroxide and it keeps coming back. Foaming pics are when the peroxide hits it. Any help to destroy this beast?

It looks like sponge. Exposure to air/oxygen kills most sponges, so I would expect the hydrogen peroxide to work well. Many Angels eat sponge.

I have hit it with peroxide 3 times so far and still comes back. I wasn't light on the peroxide either lol
