That doesn’t look like any starry blenny I have seenI purchased what I thought was a starry blenny from live aquaria. However, it does not look anything like a starry blenny to me. I thought maybe it was stressed and was not showing its true colors. But even after a few hours in my tank, he still has not changed to the black and starry pattern synonymous with that fish. Is this fish a Smith’s blenny?

You may still be able to add a starry blenny. Fang blennies are open water swimmers and likely to be less territorial with a perching blenny.
It’s the eyebrows
The one thing with your new accidental fella be careful if you decide to hand feed it. They are called fang blennies for a reason. They have little venomous fangs. They're more like a vampire bat than a bee as far as venom (it is actually supposedly an analgesic so it numbs pain slightly) but just generally be aware if it bites it has razor sharp fangs (usually only used in defense if it is scared and cornered or to eat)
